This year has been very successful for Allmade!
We have been growing consistently month-over-month this year and there is no sign of it letting up. The growth is exciting because - as you will all know by now - each Allmade shirt most likely displaces a shirt that doesn’t have the same environmental or social impact.
The number of living wage jobs we’ve been able to create as well as the amount of water and carbon footprint savings we’ve been able to accomplish together is staggering. This growth does not come without its challenges. Our blend of recycled water bottles, organic cotton, and sustainably harvested trees is not standard. It is harder to source the raw materials we use for our fabric. And, we need to schedule the spinning, knitting, and finishing of it well in advance.
That gets us to the current situation. Success has definitely caught up with us. We're facing long lead times associated with sourcing non-standard materials. We're challenged with complicated logistics to and from Haiti. And, while we want to ensure there is enough inventory, we want to avoid yoyo labor needs at all cost.
We are aggressively addressing this supply challenge. We've triggered orders for much larger quantities of fabric. We added significant production capacity in Haiti and are carefully increasing our staffing levels. Relief is on the way but it may take some time to catch up completely and you will likely see out-of-stock items until the beginning of 2020.
Please bare with us, and try to understand that our "why" is worth the wait.
We have made an exemplified t-shirt that surpasses comparable products, and we are doing everything in our power to get them restocked. And not to worry, our 2020 plan will make sure this doesn't happen again.
Here is our latest post in regards to updates in Haiti. Our cut and sew facility is constantly battling political and social issues that stall production and shipping.
And please feel free to submit your email in our restock notifications. (It's the green button underneath the dropdown on our product pages). As soon as a product is restocked, you will receive an email giving you a heads up!
