Trail Ridge Printing
Trail Ridge Printing was originally established in 2012, but a change in ownership in 2017 breathed new life into the business. The company’s commitment to making it better means that, among other things, they seek out opportunities to incorporate environmentally-friendly practices into their small manual screen-printing shop. Owners Dena and Elia King have also placed a high priority on supporting and contributing to their local community in Estes Park.
Their company values are hard to beat: 1. Put Family First // 2. Tell a Better Story // 3. Exceed Expectations.
This is a company who sets the bar high and will do what it takes to #makeitbetter. Trail Ridge Printing has been printing on Allmade since 2018 and I recently had the opportunity to get their feedback on the brand, the quality, the printability and other nitty gritty details. Here’s what they had to say:
What sparked your interest to order Allmade?
We love the environmental impact and the fact that Allmade shirts are responsibly made. Both of these selling points fall in line with the vision and mission of Trail Ridge Printing, and have made them a go-to choice for many of our like-minded clients.
Is Allmade your blank apparel brand of choice? No pressure :) Ok but really, we understand if it’s not and would love to know what we can do to become your #1 choice.
Allmade shirts are actually our favorites to print on by far. When we go elsewhere it's usually for one of three reasons: 1) our clients want a cheap shirt; 2) our clients want a different color (purple is our local school color, so we’d LOVE to see that as an option in the near future); 3) our clients want a style that Allmade doesn't offer (like a baseball shirt, hoodie, or polo).
Do you have a favorite Allmade color?
We love Space Black — because you can never have too many black tee shirts!
How do your customers like Allmade?
Our customers' response has been overwhelmingly positive. Their only complaint has been that they didn’t find out about Allmade sooner!
Who is your target customer for Allmade?
Our clients have typically chosen Allmade based on a combination of the premium fit and feel of the shirt, the environmental impact, and the fact that they are responsibly sourced. We are always proud to recommend them to our clients and it's exciting for us when they choose a better shirt for their businesses, teams, or families. So far everyone who has chosen Allmade has come back very happy with the results.
Do your customers like the fit of Allmade Tees?
Generally, yes. Some have mentioned that the ladies' cut runs a little small, which has been a challenge for some. As a result we have encouraged people to stick with the unisex style or size up to be sure they know what they're getting.
Is there anything that you would change about Allmade tees?
Early on we noticed some occasional issues with the stitching of some of our personal samples. As time has gone on and we have ordered more shirts for our clients, the issues we noticed early on were really flukes. We have been impressed with the consistent quality of our Allmade shirts.
If you were to rate the printability of our tri-blend tees on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the highest, how would we score?
5 → We love how they hold a print!
Do you find that our shirts shrink after printing?
Not after printing. We've noticed a little shrinkage after a few washes. But we love how the tri-blends hold up over time. We haven't ordered any 100% cottons yet, so we don't know how they compare for us.
What’s your favorite ink to use on Allmade tees and Why?
We have printed with Green Galaxy Water-based HSA, Green Galaxy Water-based Discharge, and Wilflex Lava Plastisol inks. Honestly they have all given us great results on Allmade shirts, but we have especially loved the soft hand feel we have gotten with discharge or water-based inks.
Do you discharge? If so, how well do Allmade tees discharge?
LOVE the results of white discharge on Allmade Space Black triblends. We have not done much in the way of other ink or shirt colors, so we will have to keep you posted. We'd be happy to do a run of sample shirts sometime and let you know more about our results though :)
Thank you Trail Ridge Team for your time and candid feedback!
